Large Rocky Planet Discovered

OK, so it seems to be about 7.5 times the mass of the earth. That's about twice the radius of the earth (and twice the surface gravity) if the newly discovered planet has the same density as the earth does.

And it's really hot and inhospitable.

But it's the most earth-like planet ever discovered. The problem, of course, is that an earth-like planet is much harder to detect than a gas giant is.
