Game 7 Predictions
Hopefully the NLCS Game 7 will be a little more competitive than the ALCS finale - what a rout by the Red Sox.
Let's here everyone's predictions for Thursday night's Astros-Cardinals game.

I think the Astros should have used Clemens in Game 6 to put the Cardinals away when they had the chance. After that dramatic walk-off homer, the momentum has swung back in the Cardinals' favor.
Having said that, I think the Cards hit Clemens early and often and take a decent lead early on. The Astros will chip away at the lead and get close but I think in the end, the Cardinals win it 5-3.
I hope I'm wrong, because I'd love to see a Red Sox - Astros series.

Well, well, well. There will be partying at work today. The Red Sox in the World Series! How many pieces of paper will it take to track the oddsmaking on this one? Russell, would you like to start us off with a prediction?

I do not understand the Clemens decision either, but maybe it will make for a great game 7. I am predicting 4-2 Astros, but that is probably my heart not my head. Thanks for starting this site Curtis.

It's just about gametime and I'm calling for an Astros win, 3-1.

I'm so depressed... note that my prediction was holding through the middle of the 6th. I guess if you can't win with Clemens, you don't deserve it. I want to say his defense let him down, but all they did was not play like the slew of gold glovers up the middle the Cardinals have.
I'm so sick of hearing sympathy for the poor Red Sox; at least they make the W.S. every 15 years. All the Astros do is lost a heartbraker in the playoffs. Maybe the only chance the Red Sox have is to hope the Astros make it someday so they can lose to them.

What?
I get no props for missing the final score by one run?
I said it once, and I'll say it again.
They should have started Clemens in Game 6.
Even if he would have gotten rocked in the 5th or 6th inning of Game 6, you would have had Lidge and other arms still available to keep the Astros close or ahead.
I didn't like the Astros chances going into a Game 7.
In fairness to the Cardinals, they played a great game - that catch by Edmonds in the 2nd innning, the suicide squeeze to eke out that first run, Womack stretching a single into a double despite a bad back, and some pretty consistent pitching.
It's going to be a tough World Series - we'll do predictions in a different thread on Saturday I guess - unless everyone is too depressed to make predictions.
